ABSTRACT
In the early days of wireless networks, security and data rates or available bandwidth were concerns that were especially relevant to IP (Internet Protocol)-based video applications. However, rapid development within the IT industry has made the wireless networking infrastructure a very interesting alternative in network video applications. It offers a way to cost-efficiently and quickly deploy cameras over a large area, especially in city center surveillance applications.
