Now we can look again at the S-curve framework for how a good management idea, or methodology, becomes a big one adopted by nearly all and practiced by so many. Note in Figure 4.1 the thick line that represents the trajectory of TRIZ, still in the stage of slower proliferation among early adopter companies. Although dozens of companies have significant experience with TRIZ, hundreds more have staff who either know about TRIZ or practice it in some informal, minimal, or ad hoc way.
