ABSTRACT

In Part I, we take some time to discuss the parallel drives of productivity, quality, and innovation as embodied by various companies and methodologies over time. Then, in Parts II and IV, we explore in detail how TRIZ enables the drive for innovation at the tactical and strategic levels. In Part IV, we also provide an analysis of how the methods of quality improvement have progressed, combined, and evolved into their most mature form in Six Sigma. Now in Part V, we present a simple view of business excellence that provides decision-making context for TRIZ, as well as other performance-excellence methodologies.
