ABSTRACT
Forensic epidemiologists can function in many settings. This chapter will describe their roles in a medical examiner’s or coroner’s (ME/C) office. Their primary function is the collection, analysis, and interpretation of the forensic data. In addition, they interact with outside agencies, participate on death review boards, present research results at conferences, create publications, and mentor and teach forensic epidemiological techniques at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
