ABSTRACT
The safe house is one of the key nodes of terroristoperations. A detected and seized safe house maycompromise cells, plans, and materials to be used in an attack. A safe house may be detected by informants, by suspicious neighbors, or through activities of surveillance teams. Virtually every terrorist group has a series of safe houses used as bomb factories, supply centers, or weapons armories. The location of a safe house gives an indication as to the kind of mission with which it is connected.
