Experiment 30. Forensic Anthropology 2: Examination of Grave Site Bones

Forensic anthropologists are frequently called upon by police investigators to examine, identify, and interpret human bones during death investigations. The forensic anthropologist is often asked: Are these bones human or another animal? What was the person’s sex? How old was the person? What was the cause of death? The following exercise is designed to introduce the student to the basic methods of forensic anthropology.
