To properly prepare, one must take the time to gather all the information available. ›e next task is to marshal the facts and conduct research to obtain a thorough and clear understanding of the applicable legal principles. ›e key is preparation. From a proper base of preparation comes the development of a trial plan. ›e trial plan allows counsel to determine an ežective strategy for the trial and to anticipate the case for the opposition. ›e organization and analysis of the factual material is made much easier if counsel is involved early in the investigation.
