ABSTRACT
Documenting nighttime crime scenes should not concern any investigator because the recording of still images in low-light can actually be easier than capturing similar photographs during the day. In nighttime conditions, lighting is frequently more evenly spread across a crime scene and although shadows will be present, the contrast between the shadows and highlights is not as intense. Consequently, the differences between light and dark sections of a location can be dealt with quite easily.
