ABSTRACT

Many necrophiles have attracted lay attention in the past. Most notable among them are Carl Tanzler, Douglas Clark, Ed Gein, Edmund Kemper, Gary Ridgway, Graham Coutts, Jerey Dahmer, Jerry Brudos, John Christie, John Wayne Gacy, Karen Greenlee, and Ted Bundy. A study of their early lives and how they grew up into being necrophiles sheds some valuable insights on this phenomenon.
