ABSTRACT

One of the most promising applications of VOM is within the Six Sigma world, where, unfortunately, a lot of misinformation and lip service is given to VOC/VOM. Sound harsh? Maybe so, but I challenge any Six Sigma practitioner to offer real proof that the VOM is actually driving their SS deployments. Most books and belt training programs that address the role of VOM gloss over the real issues linked to collecting the buyer information. Instead, they throw out a few perfunctory pages on focus groups, interviews, and surveys.
