ABSTRACT
Interviewing and networking are essential to professional success. People in the same area of interest meet each other and exchange what they are interested in, what they are committed to, and what they are working on. Expressing one’s professional interests and commitments is an important part of connecting with others and being invited for job interviews. People need to —nd appreciation for each other’s commitments, and if they are to work together, they should be on common ground regarding their mutual interests and purposes. In addition, interviewing and networking also put a high premium on people skills. People need to demonstrate their ability to play a professional role well and do so with very good social skills.
