ABSTRACT
Toyota Production System (TPS) of manufacturing has become synonymous with Toyota and is known as the just-in-time method of manufacturing. Another common sense principle that is reflected in the TPS that applies to every business is that the overall value of the business, product, or service is determined by the customer. The organization has a good understanding of the price the customer is willing to pay, it is important to work with the customer base to have a good understanding of the overall demand. If there is one area of business where businesses fail miserably, it is anticipated demand. Once the customer demand is understood, it makes common sense that the manufacturing process should produce only the products that the customer is willing and able to purchase.
