ABSTRACT

Money laundering has been described as the “crime of the 1990s” and even the “crime of the twenty-ˆrst century.” While I’d guess somebody will come up with some other crime du jour to grab the headlines, I’d also be willing to bet that money laundering will increasingly be a part of all sorts of other crimes. One of the things this book has tried to do is to emphasize how essential money laundering is to a successful criminal enterprise.
