ABSTRACT
Figure 8.1 presents formal graphic representations of the four nodes. €e source, facility, and delay nodes have an associated event procedure. In further discussions of these nodes, the event procedure label is omitted because event procedures are an integral part of the node. €e partitions in each node are used to record node parameters. For example, as shown in Figure 8.2, a queue is uniquely de›ned by queue discipline and capacity.
