ABSTRACT

Nielsen-Kellerman Company is very small. Its entire engineering sta§ consists of three people, led by their Engineering Manager, Michael Naughton. When I met Michael at the 2009 Lean Product & Process Development Exchange (LPPDE), he was new to Lean inking. His company had just embarked on its Lean journey, and Michael didn’t know what that would mean for him and his team. I had the privilege of watching Michael and his team over the next three years as they sought to incorporate Lean Product Development ideas into their work in a way that was appropriate for them.
