ABSTRACT

Lean will constantly be testing lean leaders' abilities as a leader from the very beginning. Lean leaders will find balancing the day-to-day operations of the company and incorporating Lean to be challenging at times. Organizations that truly embrace Lean and continue to fight through the battles of culture change find ways to return the favor to the people in the company who made it happen. Lean leaders are aware that Lean is a company-wide approach to continuous improvements and, as time goes on; more and more employees are involved in the process. Kaizen teams will be created and multiple kaizen events will be scheduled to implement Lean principles into the company’s various departments. Training new and existing employees in an organization takes on a whole new meaning during a Lean journey. Lean manufacturing training, from top to bottom, in the organization is a must.
