ABSTRACT
Planning for a 3P event will start several months before the scheduled event date. Government training grants are sometimes available to companies. If possible, it might require a much longer period in order to take advantage of that. If 3P is new to your organization, having many of the out-of-pocket costs paid may reduce the perceived risk of trying it. Although not the focus, every 3P event is a developmental experience as it brings all of the Lean tools together and applies them to a tangible project in a way that applying the methods individually cannot do.
