ABSTRACT
Without e¡ective communications, police ocers and criminal investigators could not obtain the vital information needed to control and solve crimes. Writing skills, like report writing and note taking, are as important as oral communications skills. Law enforcement ocers must write reports for everything from a simple dog complaint to murder.
