ABSTRACT
All organizations rely on suppliers for inputs, and an estimated 60% to 70% of the final cost of manufactured items is from purchased materials, components, and services. Manufacturers depend on suppliers not only for materials, but also for machines and tools, spare parts, and services that keep machines and processes functioning.
