ABSTRACT
There are many places to work as an investigator of mobile devices. There are contractor positions with the Department of Defense and private investigation agencies; one can own a consulting business; and there are corporate as well as IT positions. Do not forget being a researcher, academic, and developer of mobile device training courses. More opportunities will emerge as time goes by and more investigations may need to be done on mobile devices. Approximately three out of ”ve people on planet Earth own a cell phone. Some of these people also have PDAs, secondary cell phones, digital organizers, netbooks, palmtops, and many other devices. Many of these devices will have data that is related to activities associated with crime or infractions of policies in a corporation. The number of mobile devices that will need investigation or checking and the circumstances for these checks will become too numerous to discuss as these devices become more and more part of our activities of daily living.
