ABSTRACT
Of the many stimulants that are used for intoxication, amphetamine, dextroamphetamine, and methamphetamine are most commonly utilized; some patients may also abuse methylphenidate. These drugs may be taken orally or, after being crushed and dissolved, intravenously. Occasionally they may be ‘snorted’ intranasally, and purified methamphetamine (‘ice’) may also be smoked.
