The Mental Health Act Code of Practice and the Reference Guide

There was some discussion as to whether the new principles would be in the Act or the Code. As it transpired, the key aspects of the principles are listed in the Act but the detail is in the Code. This is one area where there are significant differences between the English and Welsh codes and staff moving between the countries must be alert to this. There will be a detailed analysis of the principles in this chapter.
