ABSTRACT
As a student nurse or healthcare assistant, you cannot administer any fluid, blood
or drug intravenously. However, you may well be the person caring for patients
undergoing these therapies at the bedside, so you need to know how to recognise
and report unusual signs and symptoms, while providing them with as much safe
independence as possible.
