ABSTRACT
Why do we no longer care for the mentally ill in hospital? Why does the government not spend more on people with mental illness? Why do we have all this bureaucracy and form filling? What do people in the health authority and in the Department of Health know about my job and what it is like on the front line? Why cannot the government just trust us to get on with it? Why does it have to keep moving the deckchairs but never actually make any meaningful changes?
