ABSTRACT
We would be doing the reader a disservice if we failed to acknowledge that there is considerable debate regarding criminal proling in terms of the foundation upon which it is based and the current methods it employs. e following sections will present the prevailing criticisms without taking a position either way. e ideas are presented for the benet of the reader to determine, given his or her own knowledge of the subject matter, whether to accept or dismiss the criticisms.
