ABSTRACT
Overview This chapter emphasizes the importance of electronic medical records (EMRs) in the detection of bioterrorism in the past, and what it may hold for the future as well. It analyzes past cost-benefit studies regarding EMRs in the tracking of bioterrorism and the financial implications of EMRs to society.
