ABSTRACT
The predators within our society who rationalize the murder of innocent people as a way to right some perceived injustice must be stopped. Unfortunately, all too often it is only after the slaughter has begun that the attacker’s depraved intentions are fully realized. It is at this moment that the actions of first responders may be the only thing standing between the slaughter of the innocent and the monsters that perpetrate such acts. The more quickly first responders can get within range of the shooter, the more quickly the shooter can be removed from the equation.
