ABSTRACT
With the commercial use of CDMA (code division multiple access), the semiconductor, mobile communication, liquid-crystal display (LCD), and digital TV industries are regarded as the representative successful ones among Korean IT industries. Since 1996, the Korean mobile communication industry has shown rapid growth. As of 2010, two Korean giants, Samsung Electronics Inc., and LG Electronics Inc., occupied the number two and number three positions in the global mobile communication equipment market.
