Brazil is a resource-rich nation that is expected to experience rapid economic growth as it has recently hosted the 2014 World Cup and will host the 2016 Summer Olympics. However, with its long-standing trade protection policies and real uctuations of the currency, internal industrial foundations are relatively weak. However, with its abundant agricultural and natural resources, the Brazilian indigenous rms demonstrate quite dynamic growth patterns. is section examines both available literature and case studies of Brazilian rms. is chapter will highlight how Brazilian indigenous rms take their competitive positions as partners of other global rms from the United States, Japan, and Korea. eir strategies are to build up their business capabilities to the levels of their global partners while rapidly building their capabilities to target their own Brazilian market and expanding their target market in Latin America.
