If such an organization does not yet exist, take the time, now, before beginning the pull implementation, to identify the key roles needed to fill out this organization. You will probably find that many people are already functioning in these roles. Identifying these people, making their lean roles part of their formal job

descriptions, and announcing the structure of the lean promotion organization will send a message throughout the company that lean is a serious effort. Most importantly, doing this will make it much easier to carry out the complex implementation of pull production that lies ahead.
