Delays-(not due to defects or slow processes) are addressed by creating continuous flow, reducing distances and motion, transporting faster or not transporting, leveling demand to meet supply, eliminating steps and tasks, simplifying procedures. Making tasks and sequences simpler and easier is low-level mistake-proofing.
