ABSTRACT

White collar and other œnancial crimes cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars each year. Organized crime and drug cartels, o‰en included in this category, add substantially to the economic and social costs. In addition, the development of terrorist activity within the nation’s borders employs the same strategies to œnance their operation. As these law enforcement problems grow and develop, the role of law enforcement must continue to evolve, and it must adapt to face these threats and ensure the safety and stability of our society.
