You were introduced to quality function deployment, or QFD, in Chapter 7. In this chapter, you will look at a simpli-ed Excel-based QFD tool included with this book. Since this is a tool chapter, you have a table of contents but no dene-measure-analyze-improve-control (DMAIC) orientation map. Also, since the tool comes with a detailed user guide, this chapter provides only a semi-detailed explanation of the worksheets. e user guide provides a more complete explanation AND all of the macros used in the workbook. e tool also comes with a completed sample workbook to assist you in learning how to use it.
