BHCS recognized the need for these systems early in its quality journey, and established resources related to database development and management through advanced programming, data integration from multiple sources, and reporting of performance measurement indicators. Collectively, these activities are provided by the BHCS STEEEP Analytics Department, a valuable organizational resource for measuring, analyzing, and reporting overall system performance as well as the effects of specific health care quality improvement initiatives.
