ABSTRACT
Musculoskeletal disorders and diseases are the leading cause of disability in the United States and account for more than half of all chronic conditions in people older than age 50 years in developed countries.1 The BHCS Orthopedic Service Line is dedicated to caring for the myriad injuries and diseases that can affect the body’s bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. It encompasses orthopedics departments at 11 regional hospitals as well as the Baylor Orthopedic and Spine Hospital at Arlington, Texas.
