ABSTRACT
A basic task element (BTE) map is a graphical representation of a micro-time and -motion study of a short duration operational sequence at the basic task element level. The goal of the time and motion study is to collect and use quantitative measures of time and other performance-related data to identify specific basic task element steps or aggregated step sequences for operational improvement (e.g., reduce cycle times or errors).
