ABSTRACT

Phase I — Situation You are an advisory board member for the non-profit organization Alcoholics Anonymous, whose mission is to assist in the recovery of alcoholics. You have held this role for one year with another year left in the leadership position. You have been entrusted to be an adviser for the twelve-step program, but recently there have been complaints by other Alcoholics Anonymous chapters that one chapter is not following the guidelines set forth by the Alcoholics Anonymous World Services Advisory Board (Summers, 2007). Several former members are stating that the group encourages them to have sex with other Midtown members, cut off all contact with friends and family, and are given a rigid schedule on when to attend Midtown meetings (Summers, 2007). What are you going to do about the real or perceived public image for your organization?
