ABSTRACT

An effective intelligence management system will only be of benefit if it is fully integrated into decision-making at all levels of the agency. Generally speaking, people will make better decisions if they have more accurate information at the time the decision is being made. As Walsh articulates, “In order to fully understand how intelligence works in different applications and whether it is working effectively, there is also a need to examine the structure of any intelligence system and how components and processes within that system function” (Walsh 2011, p. 91).
