ABSTRACT
Visit any business enterprise or residential home in the global arena, and you will find that in each case there is a process to remove waste from the location. We are talking about those items that most municipalities call solid waste. However, this chapter is not concerned with those items headed for the landfill. That is not the working definition of waste1 (muda) in the pursuit of excellence in human resources (HR).
