ABSTRACT
Heinous and unprecedented acts of terrorism occurred during the last decades of the 20th century. These attacks ranged from hijackings of airplanes, boats, buses, and other means of transportation to the kidnapping of civilians for political blackmail or ransom. Atrocities also ranged from the blowing up of restaurants, malls, buildings, resorts, airports, airplanes in midair, trains, and buses to gun attacks on individuals or groups of people.
