ABSTRACT
Conduct a victimology and examine the victim’s lifestyle, and interview the victim’s friends and relatives to determine whether the death was accidental or involved suicide.
Final Exit-type suicides are distinctively unique from other suicide cases. They are planned events with the possibility of victim assistance. Law enforcement personnel who investigate sudden and violent deaths have a responsibility to properly document and classify these events.
