ABSTRACT

This annex presents a hierarchical descriptive system of writing, similar to the Document Object Model (DOM) typical of Web pages: the forensic document is seen as having aspects, which refer to entities, the properties of which are changed by modifiers, through the values of quantifiers. The entities are classified according to their semantic and physical scale. Not all entities possess all modifiers. See Atanasiu 2011a for the rationale in using the term “descriptor” rather than “feature.” Following an object-oriented notation, a forensic document (FD) described according to this schema is defined as FD = documents.aspects.entities.modifiers.quantifiers.
