ABSTRACT
This chapter presents common technical aspects on how computational expertise of forensic documents (FD) is performed: definition, typology, and examples of FD datasets, demographic cohorts, and criteria for quality datasets; terminology and typology of the description of writing by FD examiners (FDEs) and computer scientists; human and computational expertise methods; and a survey of FD software and hardware.
