ABSTRACT
The Merriam-Webster Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary defines strategy as (1) “the science and art of employing the political, economic, psychological, and military forces of a nation or group of nations to afford the maximum support for adopted policies in peace or war”; (2) “a careful plan or method; the art of devising or employing plans toward a goal” (2000, p. 1165). A strategy involves science, art, plans, methods, and goals! It is a human process to devise a method to achieve a goal. The goal is successful innovation on a continuous basis within the organization.
