ABSTRACT

Most people think of innovation as that associated with something that is unique, original, or new, commonly called an invention, and for the most part, these are technological advances, although innovations that are new also come in terms of products, services, and processes. For Global Targeting, when discussing innovations that are “new,” the term refers to the originality of the innovation. In this case, original means something unique, something that has found a new application, or even a new approach. For this section and this chapter, the focus will be on original innovations. That can include technology, product, ideas, concepts, or new ways or methods of accomplishing a goal or objective.
