ABSTRACT

It is entirely too limiting to view security solely as a domestic issue. By restricting dimensions of security in this manner, effective security solutions and evaluations cannot be achieved. Additionally, looking at security as a domestic issue fails to see the big picture-that the security of one state affects the security of other states. Indeed, globalization has triggered evolving and exponential threats that challenge the security and stability of countries, by transcending traditional borders and having an international impact. As such, a more accurate way of approaching security is to view it as a transnational phenomenon.
