ABSTRACT
Forensic experts are often the key to trial strategy. Only the forensic expert can testify with any credibility on technical issues and standards of care. Although opinions on the technical aspects of the litigation are the responsibility of the forensic expert, the expert may assist in the theme of the trial. The attorney needs to know how the forensic expert feels about the issues as well as how facts and evidence should be presented.
