ABSTRACT
Five S (5S) is a methodology to transform and maintain a clean and safe work environment that supports Lean implementation. Five S provides some important intangible benefits, such as promoting a culture of order and efficiency in the workplace and raising employee morale. In addition, work areas that are clean and neat looking will gain credibility with customers, suppliers, and visitors to the company.
