ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses the requirements surrounding MDI systems from a regulatory perspective, identifies terms and provides references to key regulations with which the enterprise and the MDI solution vendor should be aware and compliant. The chapter ends with a summary of key questions to be asked of the MDI solution provider to verify conformance and provide the healthcare enterprise with confidence that any deployed MDI system will be compliant with federal regulations.
