ABSTRACT

To the casual observer, Bellin Health appears to be just another Midwest healthcare delivery system. Bellin’s marquee 167-bed hospital pales in size compared to large metropolitan academic medical centers. The location of Bellin’s corporate headquarters in Green Bay, Wisconsin, inspires mixed feelings among football fans. Mention of Green Bay more likely conjures an image of beer, brats, and curds than a breakthrough model for population health design. However, anyone looking beyond corporate size and Monday Night Football will find an organization in steadfast, relentless pursuit of the highest-quality health and lowest-cost outcomes in the country-and we are showing dramatic results.
